Braničevski district

Braničevski okrug is an administrative district in east-central Serbia. It is located near the Danube and forms part of the historical Braničevo region. Important towns and municipalities in the district include Požarevac, which is the seat, and areas on the edge toward Smederevo. The district includes agricultural land, river plains, and hilly terrain. It is rich in cultural and historical monuments. Agriculture, services, and local industry all play a role in its economy.
