Solyvka

Solyvka is a village in western Ukraine, in Zakarpattia Oblast and Uzhhorod Raion. It lies near Uzhhorod, relatively close to the borders with Hungary and Slovakia. The settlement has a rural character and stands in an agricultural lowland setting. Administratively it forms part of the settlement network of Uzhhorod Raion. Its population lives in a local village community with everyday links to nearby settlements. The village belongs to the Transcarpathian plain, an area characterized by arable land and small watercourses. Transport connections are mainly by road toward the district center and neighboring villages. Ukrainian, Hungarian, and other local cultural influences are present in the wider area. Today Solyvka functions primarily as a residential and agricultural settlement. It is part of the historically multiethnic landscape of Transcarpathia.
