Solomonovo
Solomonovo is a village in Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, in Uzhhorod Raion. It is one of the westernmost settlements in the country, located close to both the Hungarian and Slovak borders. The village lies in the lowland area near the Tisza basin and stands very close to Chop. Its borderland location strongly shapes its transport and economic role. Solomonovo is known for infrastructure connected with the frontier zone and the roads leading toward nearby crossing points. The wider area includes customs, logistics, and industrial activity associated with the Chop–Záhony border region. The settlement is situated in a multiethnic part of Transcarpathia where Hungarian language and culture have long been present. As a locality on the western edge of Zakarpattia, it has strong cross-border connections. Present-day Solomonovo is a small village, but its geographical position gives it significance beyond its size. It is a real and current rural settlement in western Ukraine.
