Ruski Komarivtsi

Ruski Komarivtsi is a village in western Ukraine, in Zakarpattia Oblast and Uzhhorod Raion. It is situated in the area near Uzhhorod where lowland and foothill landscapes begin to meet. Its present role is mainly that of a local residential and agricultural settlement. The village is connected by road with surrounding communities and with Uzhhorod. This part of Transcarpathia has historically been a meeting ground of multiple ethnic and religious communities. Ruski Komarivtsi is among the extant villages of the raion. Its surroundings include cultivated land, gardens, and some smaller wooded or groved areas. Administratively it forms part of Ukraine and the settlement structure of Uzhhorod Raion. The village also reflects the region’s multilingual place-name heritage.
