Mynai

Mynai is a settlement in Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, in Uzhhorod Raion, very close to the city of Uzhhorod. It has developed as part of the Uzhhorod suburban zone and is closely connected to the regional center’s economy and transport network. Because of its location, it has also seen residential and suburban-style growth in recent years. The settlement is known as Minaj in Hungarian and Mynai in Ukrainian. It belongs to the lowland part of Zakarpattia and has convenient access to the area’s main roads. Daily life is strongly influenced by proximity to jobs, institutions, and services in Uzhhorod. Educational, religious, and commercial functions are present in the settlement. Mynai is also known in connection with regional football, as the name appears in Zakarpattian sports life. Its present character combines a traditional village structure with ongoing suburban expansion. The coexistence of Hungarian, Ukrainian, and other local communities reflects the diverse social landscape of Zakarpattia.
