Koritnyany

Koritnyany is a village in Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, in Uzhhorod Raion. It is located near Uzhhorod and belongs to the ring of settlements influenced by the regional centre. Historically, the village formed part of Hungarian administrative and settlement traditions. Today it is characterized by a mixed linguistic and ethnic environment. Because of its location, everyday life is shaped in part by the proximity of the oblast centre. Its settlement pattern and surroundings reflect the typical features of lowland villages in Transcarpathia. Transport links, educational access, and nearby urban services are important for residents. Religious buildings and local community spaces are part of the village landscape. Koritnyany is also known by the historical Hungarian name Korláthelmec.
