Dobra

Dobra is a commune in Hunedoara County, Romania, situated in the eastern part of the county. It lies in a hilly and valley landscape belonging to the drainage system of the Mureș basin. Administratively, it includes numerous smaller villages, making it an extensive local commune. Dobra serves as an important administrative center for surrounding settlements. The commune stands along the transport direction between Lugoj and Deva. Its surroundings are characterized by wooded hills, agricultural land, and smaller watercourses. The present-day appearance of the settlement is mainly rural, though its institutional role is significant within the wider micro-region.
