Baranyntsi
Baranyntsi is a village in Zakarpattia Oblast in western Ukraine, within Uzhhorod Raion. It is located near Uzhhorod and therefore has close economic and transport links with the district center. The settlement forms part of the historic Uzh region, where different linguistic and cultural communities have lived side by side for a long time. The surrounding area is characterized by lowland agricultural land, gardens, and smaller residential zones. Present-day life in Baranyntsi depends partly on local rural services and partly on the employment and institutional network of nearby Uzhhorod. The village reflects the diverse historical traditions typical of Zakarpattia. Its Hungarian name, Baranyinc, has long been known in historical usage. Administratively, the village belongs to Uzhhorod Raion in the current Ukrainian system. Because of its location, it can be considered one of the peripheral settlements of the regional center.
